Brad then stepped up to directing. After servicing jobs for Dubai he formed a partnership with Marcos Cruz. Together their solid skills enable them to provide significant production value. Clients include South Africa’s largest companies - SABMiller, VW, Cell C, PEP, FNB, MTN, Castle, BAT, Absa and Cadbury.
In 2012 Marcos and Brad launched co-opTV - an online, community-generated video broadcaster - for which they dedicated a year to collecting and making discerning content. Their site has more than 400 original clips, with most not on any other platform.
Brad is from Cape Town, South Africa.
His versatile filmmaking skills are an asset whether he is creating a large-brand ad or going it alone on a small documentary.
Starting his career with Peter Gird Productions, more than 20 years ago, he witnessed Cape Town’s meteoric rise in film production. PGP grew to be the preferred production house - as voted by creatives - for many consecutive years. It was here that Brad established himself in production, becoming a sought-after assistant director.
Brad considers Michael Middleton (director/cameraman) his mentor. Highlights together include: numerous travels around the world; filming icons such Mandela, Tutu, Pele, Charlize Theron, the Springboks, the Proteas; and making big-brand ads that the South African public cherished.
He also worked on many high-profile international productions with leading directors. Sadly, after making the MasterCard World Cup 2006 “Fever” commercial, PGP closed its doors.
